Columbine Shooting

On April 20, 1999 Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 12 students, 1 teacher, and then themselves at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado.  Eric and Dylan never fit into any of the cliques at high school and were constantly harrassed.  They seemed to be regular teens who had jobs and played video games but deep down they hated the world.

They kept journals about how they wanted to kill themselves and others.  They explained their hatred for everything from racists to tv channels.  They planned out their shooting a year in advance to get revenge.

They looked up recipes for bombs, got guns, and planned out when would be the best time to shoot in the cafeteria.  The boys told the few people they liked to leave the school before they started shooting.  On the morning announcements on the television, they sent a message out saying that that day was not a good day to be at school.

When they came to school in black trench coats holding guns, kids thought it was a school prank so no one was alarmed.  When the first shot occured the police was called but by the time they arrived the 13 lives had been taken within an hour and at 12:08 the boys shot themselves in the library.

Eric and Dylan will forever be remembered for committing the most horrific school shooting in the history of America so far.
